Big Sean announces the release of 'Detroit 2'

After months of anticipation, Big Sean has finally unveiled the release date for his upcoming fifth studio album – and it’s sooner than you think!

Sean Don will officially be dropping Detroit 2 on September 4th, and surprised fans with the announcement and cover art on social media earlier this week.

Fans of the Sean will know that the album has been in the works for some time now. Originally planned to be released around his scheduled Coachella appearance in April, the campaign was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A trailer for the record was released in March, and during an Instagram Live with DJ Khaled in May, the “Blessings” rapper gave a bit more insight into the project and said: “I’m praying that this album touches people and be blessed enough to see success. But my thing I want people to feel the vibration of it and rise to their success more so than anything.”

Detroit 2 will be Big Sean’s first studio album since 2017 and follows the release of “Bezerk” and “Single Again” which were released last year.

The countdown is on.
